Take a look at these custom airplane yokes from this 1976 Grumman Tiger with Light Grey stitching that was just created by Craft Customs. These one-of-a-kind airplane yokes were so interesting and fun to make. Once we got our hands on these yokes, we were able to strip off all of the original materials and, replace it with smooth black leather all over.
Once the original Airplane Leather yokes have been stripped down, we spend the next couple days laying out the design of these custom airplane yokes. The job then moves into our leather department where we put on the custom smooth leather pattern. The job is then moved into our leather stitching department where we hand-stitch each and every steering wheel. We used a Ferrari stitch or double French seam as it’s known as in light grey as the customer requested.
