This oversized yet elegant steering wheel is truly one of a kind, blending high-quality wood and luxurious Tan Ferrari leather. Restoring this beauty was an enjoyable challenge for our team, who take pride in bringing new life to worn-out steering wheels.
When this steering wheel arrived at our workshop, we began by carefully stripping off the old, tired leather that had seen better days. Once the wheel was bare, our skilled artisans got to work rebuilding the wood sections, a process that takes about seven days. This meticulous process involves sanding, resurfacing, and wood graining, ensuring that every inch of the wheel is smooth and flawless. After the wood sections were perfected, the wheel moved into our leather department.
In our leather department, the real transformation began. Each steering wheel we restore is hand-stitched by our experts, who pay close attention to every detail. For this particular Freightliner Coronado steering wheel, we used a smooth Tan Ferrari leather, offset with a Teal baseball stitch as requested by the customer. The result is a steering wheel that not only looks incredible but also feels amazing to the touch. The contrast between the wood grain and the leather, accented by the unique stitching, gives the wheel a distinctive and refined appearance.
