Ford F150 Steering Wheel Repair
There is no other vehicle part more viewed than the steering wheel. Over the years oils from your hands, sweat, chemicals, lotions, and especially hand sanitizer break down the top coat of the leather. When your steering wheel is worn out, it can make the whole vehicle look and feel worn out. But once your steering wheel is reupholstered back to factory new, it’s almost like giving your whole interior a facelift. We will give your steering wheel a full steering wheel restoration and make it new again! Our painstaking process makes sure your steering wheel is perfect when you receive it back from us.
Craft Customs works on steering wheels for every make and model of vehicle on the road, including any Ford truck or car. And we have upholstered thousands of F150 Steering Wheels. Each and every F-150 steering wheel is reupholstered using only top of the line leathers, padding, threads and adhesives. And, each one is hand-sewn in our facility. We have taken pride in our work since 1991, and for over 31 years, thousands of Ford F150 owners have put their trust in our services.

We offer a few options:
Simply send in your F-150 steering wheel, and a couple of weeks later we’ll send it back as good as new. We take any buttons, wires and back covers off of the steering wheel, and clean them. We remove all the old leather and any padding, if it had any, and clean the steering wheel. Then we replace new padding and the highest quality automotive grade leather available. Only once your steering wheel passes our stringent Quality Control inspection is it reassembled and properly packed for shipment. We then FedEx it back to you with insurance on every package.
A second option is that you can pick up a second steering wheel at a salvage yard or on EBay, usually for about $50. You can then put that steering wheel on your truck and send your steering wheel into Craft Customs; or, you can send in that second steering wheel. Make sure and cut a small 1 inch square piece of leather off of the back of your actual steering wheel and staple it to a piece of paper with your name, address, phone number, email, make, year & model of your F-150, and the color code of your interior if you know it. Put this piece of paper in the box with your steering wheel and send it in to us. We’ll exactly match that leather and reupholster your steering wheel back to new, just like it was on the showroom floor.
A third option is to use one of our loaner cores. You will cut a small 1 inch square piece of leather off of the back of your actual steering wheel and staple it to a piece of paper with your name, address, phone number, email, make, year & model of your F-150, and the color code of your interior if you know it. Put this piece of paper in an envelope and mail it to us. When we receive it, we will call you put your order together, take payment and a $200 core charge. We’ll then exactly match that leather and send you a newly reupholstered steering wheel. You will then have two weeks to send your old steering wheel back to Craft Customs to receive $175 of your core charge back.
Simple? We think so. And, we look forward to working with you!
